The Public Authority organization supports the In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) program of the San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency. The mission of the Public Authority is to enhance the quality and availability of the IHSS program. IHSS provides personal care and domestic services for elderly or disabled individuals and allows them to stay in their homes rather than in costly and less desirable placement facilities.
