Join the Registry

To join the Public Authority Registry, a potential Provider must successfully complete the following steps:

  1. Call our general Public Authority telephone number at 1-866-351-7722 on the 3rd Thursday of every month to sign-up for a Registry Screening
  2. Complete a Registry Provider Application and pass the Registry Individual Screening
  3. Submit (2) valid reference letters and pass reference checks. Please select link below for reference letter criteria in English or Spanish.
  4. Attend a Registry Workshop which covers the following topics:
    1. Valuable in-home caregiving skills
    2. Information regarding the Public Authority
    3. Information regarding the IHSS program
  5. Submit fingerprints, undergo and pass a criminal background check by the California Department of Justice “DOJ”
  6. Pass a basic test on Provider related topics at the Application Workshop
