To join the Public Authority Registry, a potential Provider must successfully complete the following steps:
- Call our general Public Authority telephone number at 1-866-351-7722 on the 3rd Thursday of every month to sign-up for a Registry Screening
- Complete a Registry Provider Application and pass the Registry Individual Screening
- Submit (2) valid Registry reference forms and pass reference checks. Please select link below for Registry reference forms in English or Spanish.
- Attend a Registry Workshop which covers the following topics:
- Valuable in-home caregiving skills
- Information regarding the Public Authority
- Information regarding the IHSS program
- Submit fingerprints, undergo and pass a criminal background check by the California Department of Justice “DOJ”
- Pass a basic test on Provider related topics at the Application Workshop
